Nikelle is the owner and therapist at Crescent Moon. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she studied communication. She worked in the sales industry for 7 years and then realized that assisting people to better optimize their health and well-being was her passion. She decided to attend massage school and learned skills to coach people in creating and maintaining balance in their bodies. Believing that the body needs to relax as a first step towards pain release and tension, Nikelle’s technique focuses on a simultaneous blend of therapeutic bodywork and deep massage through a relaxing and comfortable treatment experience. Deeper relaxation, as well as muscular and energetic release are sought through the use of breath work, contract/relax, and stretch.
Believing in continual learning of effective practices, Nikelle studied at Coaching the Body in Evanston, IL and became a certified Coaching the Body Practionioner. This bodywork blends traditional Thai massage techniques with trigger point theory, neuromuscular techniques, and yogic theory. She also offers traditonal table deep tissue and swedish modalities. Check out the Thai massage tab for more info.
Most recently, Nikelle has finished a 200 hour yoga teacher training studies, locally in Lake Geneva at Indigo Yoga Center in 2019. She is passionate about continuing to bring awareness to the mind, body, and spirit connection. Nikelle teaches all level vinyasa style yoga classes at www.yogalakegeneva.com or inquire about private yoga practices.
ADDITIONAL CRESCENT MOON THERAPISTS
Joanne Siebers, LMT- Joanne “Jo” is a Nationally certified Massage Therapist and holds a certification in prenatal Massage. She had been providing Massage Therapy to the Glenview, IL area for the past 16 years until permanently moving to Williams Bay, WI in 2018. With an array of techniques and/or modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point and others, Jo provides a massage that promotes relaxation as well meeting the specific and individual needs of each client. She brings harmony to the body by increasing communication within the musculature so that the client feels more unified and relaxed while lessening the distraction of specific muscle tension. Massage really helps us connect and/or reconnect back to ourselves, to listen to our bodies so we increase our ability to discern our needs. Too often the importance of this connection is neglected. It is Jo’s hope that after a massage, you will leave with an overall amazing feeling: light on your feet, relaxed with more awareness, energy and able to take deeper breathes.
